We are delighted to inform you that this year, our KL Bar Social, Arts & Culture Committee (KLSACC) and Young Lawyers Committee (KLYLC) are joining forces to bring you the KL Bar Night 2014 commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Charity Night.
In honour of the KLYLC Charity Night reaching a decade, this year’s annual charity night will be combined with the KL Bar Night. The 10th edition of the Charity Night is geared towards raising money for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), namely to help purchase dialysis machines to be placed in NKF centres in rural parts of Malaysia.

NKF is a non-profit charity organisation and strives to raise the standards of care provided to patients with kidney failure and those who are suffering from various kidney-related diseases. In 1993, the first dialysis centre was opened at Jalan Hang Lekiu, Kuala Lumpur. NKF has expanded its role from being just a dialysis treatment provider, to becoming a one-stop national resource centre for all kidney-related matters.
NKF’s patients are generally from the lower income group and these patients often cannot afford dialysis treatment at private medical facilities that usually charge RM150 to RM250 for each dialysis session. NKF helps by subsidising the cost of the patients’ dialysis treatment, so that they are only required to pay a RM50 nominal fee per dialysis session.
We would like to seek your kind support for this event. We would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly take up an advertisement space in our souvenir programme that is being produced in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary of the Charity Night or make a cash donation.
