Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
We have just received an email notification from the Director of the Kuala Lumpur Court (“KMKL”).
We wish to inform you that in conjunction with the 66th National Independence Day, the Kuala Lumpur Court will be organising the “Program Penghayatan Semarak Merdeka” at the KMKL.
Kindly be informed that the Court Management Division will be setting up counters to amongst others, check the status of existing deposits and the status of deposit refund, catering to both for the public and lawyers. The details of the programme are as follows:
Date : 30 August 2023 (Wednesday)
Time : 9:00am to 3:00pm
Venue : Foyer At Level 2, KMKL
The counters will offer the following services:
(a) Verification of the status of current deposit;
(b) Confirmation of deposit refunds;
(c) Checklist detailing necessary documents for claims, and
(d) Printing of the deposit list for the attending firms.
We extend an invitation to lawyers who intend to conduct a check on the deposits pertaining to cases filed in the KMKL to participate in this programme.

PROGRAM PENGHAYATAN SEMARAK MERDEKA @ MKL 2023
Dengan segala hormatnya saya merujuk kepada perkara di atas.
2. Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa sempena sambutan Hari Kemerdekaan Negara yang ke-66, Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur akan menganjurkan satu Program Penghayatan Semarak Merdeka di Kompleks Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur. Antara pengisian dalam Program ini adalah pihak Unit Hasil dan Deposit di bawah Bahagian Pengurusan Mahkamah akan membuka Kaunter Semakan Deposit untuk memberi peluang kepada pelanggan Mahkamah termasuk firma peguam membuat semakan deposit seperti butiran berikut;
Tarikh : 30 Ogos 2023 (Rabu)
Masa : 9.00 pagi – 3.00 petang
Tempat : Ruang Legar Aras 2, Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur
3. Kaunter Semakan Deposit ini akan menawarkan perkhidmatan termasuk:
i. Membuat semakan deposit sedia ada,
ii. Status pengembalian deposit,
iii. Senarai semak – dokumen yang diperlukan untuk membuat untuk tuntutan, dan
iv. Cetakan senarai deposit kepada firma yg hadir.
4. Oleh itu, pihak Mahkamah mengharapkan kerjasama pihak tuan untuk membuat hebahan kepada semua peguam yang berhasrat untuk membuat semakan deposit bagi kes-kes yang difailkan di Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur. Kehadiran amatlah dialu-alukan.
