UPDATE | Frequently Asked Questions On Tax Matters including Real Property Gains Tax (“RPGT”)

Pursuant to feedback received, the Corporate & Conveyancing Practice Committee (“CCPC”) wrote to Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (“LHDNM”) seeking clarification on extension of time to be provided for payment of retention sum for purposes of RPGT. Kindly take note that LHDNM has updated its Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) on Tax Matters as at 30 June 2021. This includes an automatic extension of time for payment of retention sum up until 31 August 2021 in respect of payment due during the MCO period.
