Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
We have received an email notification from the Kuala Lumpur Court regarding the above.
Please be informed that effective 15 November 2023, the Criminal Session Court 1 (“MSJ1”) will be designated as a Court For Sexual Crimes Against Children (“JSKK”) in addition to the Criminal Session Court 2 (“MSJ2”).
Accordingly, all mentions and trial fixed on or after 15 November 2023 at MSJ2 will be redivided to both JSKK Courts (“MSJ1 & MSJ2”) without affecting the previously scheduled date and time, unless directed otherwise by the Session Court Judges. However, all part-heard trials will remain to be heard by Puan Tasnim binti Abu Bakar at MSJ2.
In order to facilitate the above redesignation, all pending cases registered in MSJ1 will be reassigned to MSJ3 and MSJ10. Please find attached the list of relocation of cases in all the Courts for ease of reference.
Lawyers involved will be notified of the substitution and relocation of cases by the respective Courts.
