Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
We have received a notification via email from the Selangor Land and Mines Office regarding the above matter.
Kindly be informed that the administration of the Selangor Land Registry Office has, effective from 30 October 2023, applied the 16th Schedule of the National Land Code 1965 and the 6th Schedule of the Strata Titles Act 1985, in accordance with the commencement of the Electronic Land Administration System in the state of Selangor.
In line with the above, the format of the titles for Strata Titles Type L (“Parcel Landed/Petak Tanah“), which previously referred to “Building No./No. Bangunan” has been changed to “Parcel No./No. Petak“. However, existing titles remain valid, and presentations for both transactions and non-transactions can still be accepted and carried out as usual.
