Invitation to Attend Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan Training
Parts One (I) and Two (II)
Date: 17 November 2026
Time: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Venue: Raja Aziz Addruse Auditorium, Level 2, Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia, No 2, Leboh Pasar Besar, Kuala Lumpur.
The Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (“YBGK”) is a comprehensive scheme that funds lawyers who take up legal aid work in criminal matters after completing the relevant training.
We are pleased to announce that the YBGK training for Parts One (I) and Two (II) is now open for registration.
The contents of the training are as follows:
- Part One (I) — YBGK Administration
- Part Two (II) — Arrest, Remand, Bail, and Mitigation
Participants will be entitled to 5 CPD points
There will be a written assessment at the end of Parts One (I) and Two (II) of the YBGK training.
Lawyers who wish to do YBGK work are required to attend both Parts One (I) and Two (II) of the training, and pass the written assessment. Please note that CPD points will only be awarded to Members who attend the training in full, and pass the written assessment.
This programme is sponsored by YBGK. All lawyers who attend YBGK training are required to undertake a minimum amount of YBGK work after the training.
This training is open only to lawyers who have been in practice for a minimum of one (1) year. Only 40 places are available, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please click here.
Registration will close on 11 November 2026 at 12:00pm, or once all the places are taken up, whichever comes first.
