Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
The Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) provides legal representation to the impecunious and unrepresented Malaysians and foreigners in areas limited to criminal law, employment law, family law and Syariah Law. The Centre also manages the assignment of files, claims and training on behalf of the National Legal Aid Foundation or better known as Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (“YBGK”).
As of 15 November 2022, there are twenty-seven (27) files under the YBGK scheme which have yet to be assigned. We would like to invite Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar to adopt these files.
Kindly be informed that the assignment of the files is on a first-come, first-served basis. The secretariat will only inform lawyers who have successfully adopted the file.
Please be reminded that the adoption of YBGK files is only open for the lawyers who have successfully concluded Part 3 of the YBGK Training.
