Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
On 7 January 2021, the Federal Government had published a Government Gazette setting out a list of unclaimed deposits presently held by the Kuala Lumpur High Court and Kuala Lumpur Subordinate Courts for a period of 10 years or more.
We encourage firms/depositors who have unclaimed deposits to make a claim for a refund of the same. Kindly note that any unclaimed deposits for a period of more than 15 years will be transferred and paid to the Government pursuant to Order 90 Rules 16 and 17 of the Rules of Court 2012.
