Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
It has come to the attention of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee that certain law firms are not complying with the Movement Control Order and requiring their lawyers and pupils to physically go in to the firms.
We would like to bring to the attention of all law firms, Bar Council Circular No. 066/2020 urging all law firms to comply with the Movement Control Order. Click here for the Circular.
We urge all members and pupils who are being forced to go in to their respective firms to bring the said Circular to the attention of the Partner/Master.
Members are reminded that it is an offence to breach the Movement Control Order and anyone is able to lodge a report against operational firms.
