About Us:
The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee is a statutory body established to regulate and represent legal practitioners in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant (Accounts Receivable & Credit Control) to support our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handled both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit Control functions including invoicing, collection, payment posting in accounting system, reconciliation and credit risk monitoring.
- Ensure all billing, sales transactions, and customer receipts are accurately updated in the accounting system and general ledger.
- Monitor AR aging and actively follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.
- Liaise with customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Prepare AR-related reports including aging, collection status, credit exposure, and sales reports.
- Prepare daily and monthly summary reports related to AR and CN listings.
- Prepare and issue e-Invoices in compliance with LHDN requirements, and ensure accuracy of customer data including validation, submission, and tracking through the e-Invoice system.
- Ensure accuracy of customer data (TIN, billing details, tax information) for e-Invoice compliance.
- Coordinate with customers on e-Invoice status, rejection, cancellation, and amendments where required.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- To assist with the payment of subscriptions and issuance of the necessary documents.
- Assist with processing of invoices and subscription receipts.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Providing administrative support for projects/activities undertaken by the KLBC and its sub committees.

Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Accounts Assistant or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Bukku or other accounting software would be an advantage.
