Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
Pursuant to the Chief Judge of Malaya’s Practice Direction No.1 for the year 2026, the International Commercial and Admiralty Division (“ICAD”) has been established at the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur effective from 26 February 2026.
The ICAD has been established to have a specialised Court conduct all cases registered at the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur involving:
- International commercial cases involving any company incorporated overseas; and
- Admiralty cases.
