KR.P. Perumal was born at Devakottai, Tamil Nadu, South India on 20 October 1923.
He obtained his M.A.(Econ) University of Nagpur, India and his B.Com degree at University of Madras, South India. He was called to the Degree of Utter Barrister by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn on 23 November 1971 and was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya on 30 November 1972 before the Honourable Mr Justice S M Yong.
During his stay at London, he contributed both as a writer and speaker for the British Broadcasting Corporation (B.B.C.) Tamil Service. He also contributed both as a writer and speaker for Radio Malaysia (Radio 6) Tamil Service.
The late KR.P. Perumal practised in both the Civil and Criminal Courts and was in active practice until his demise on 10 August 1992. He is greatly missed by his family and friends and leaves behind his wife and twin sons.
