KL Bar Run 2027 On 31 January 2027 - Registration Is Open!

Entry Fee:
• RM350.00 per team for the first 30 teams (early bird registration) (exclusive of 8% online registration admin fee).
• RM400.00 per team for subsequent teams (exclusive of 8% online registration admin fee).

Team Composition:

(a) Mixed Open Category
1. 4 runners with at least one (1) female runner and one (1) male runner.

2. Subject to item 1, each team must consist of four (4) runners in any of the following combinations: –
a. four (4) practising lawyers, four (4) pupils in chambers, or any combination of practising lawyers and pupils in chambers;
b. at least two (2) practising lawyers and/or pupils in chambers, with the remaining runners drawn from any of the categories listed in item 3; or
c. four (4) runners drawn from any one or a combination of the categories listed in items 3(b), (c) and (d).

3. The following persons are eligible to participate under items 2(b) and 2(c), subject to the restrictions stated in those items. Each must hold a recognised law degree: –
a. in-house counsel, legal advisers, former lawyers and other law graduates;
b. Registrars, Deputy Registrars, Senior Assistant Registrars or other judicial officers of the Malaysian courts;
c. Deputy Public Prosecutors, Federal Counsel or other legal officers serving in the Attorney General’s Chambers; and
d. officers serving in any government enforcement agency approved by KLBAR.

(b) Judiciary Category
1. 4 runners with at least one (1) female runner and one (1) male runner.

2. Each runner must be serving or former members of the Malaysian Judiciary, including Magistrates, Sessions Court Judges, Judicial Commissioners, and Judges of the High Court, Court of Appeal or Federal Court.

3. Notwithstanding item 2 above, KLBAR reserves the rights to allow judicial officers to compete in this category.

4. A team comprising any person listed in item 2 and one or more runners who are neither listed in item 2 nor permitted to compete under item 3 shall be registered under the Mixed Open Category, provided that the team satisfies the eligibility and team composition requirements of that category.

(c) Care2Run
1. 3 runners in one team comprising Care2Run participants.

2. Each runner shall be part of the Care2Run team.

(d) Sponsors Category
1. Each team shall consist of four (4) runners, comprising at least one (1) female runner and one (1) male runner.

2. All runners must be employees, representatives, clients or invited guests duly nominated or authorised by a Title, Platinum, Gold or Bronze Sponsor of the KLBR or other approved sponsors by KLBAR.
