Buka Puasa with Rohingya and Myanmar Muslim Refugees on 18 June 2017

In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan, the KLBC Young Lawyers Committee, in light of the very well-received effort last year, is once again organising a Buka Puasa event with Rohingya and Myanmar Muslim refugees! Details are as follows:

Date : Sunday, 18 June 2017
Time : 6:00 pm
Venue : Humanitarian Aid Selangor (formerly known as MyWelfare Centre) at 14, Jalan 4, Selayang Baru,                      (Pasar Borong Selayang Lama), 68100 Batu Caves.

Cost for the meal :Sponsor a Rohingya/Myanmar Muslim refugee for only RM20 and with an additional RM10 if you would like to buka puasa with them.

Tentative Itinerary
6:00 pm – Visit the Humanitarian Aid Selangor, which houses a small shelter and informal school for refugees, “Rainbow of Love”. Presentation by Nurainie Haziqah on “Rohingyas in Malaysia”
6:30 pm – Sharing by Ustaz Rafik Ismail – Rohingya community leader in Selayang area. What the community needs and what Humanitarian Aid Selangor is doing and our vision.

7:20 pm – Buka Puasa. Solat Maghrib.

Packing & Distributing: We also encourage you to join us in assisting the centre with the packing and distribution of the food on the said date. It is a great opportunity to interact with the staff of the centre and the kids while having lots of fun. Please indicate your interest on the form and be at the centre at 3:00 pm on that day.
