Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,
The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee has received a letter dated 4 August 2026 from Pejabat Tanah Dan Galian Negeri Selangor (“PTGS”) regarding land registration matters.
Kindly take note that with effect from 17 August 2026, PTGS is implementing enhancement measures towards the procedure for the presentation of land titles for registration.
Moving forward, all registrations involving land title documents must be accompanied by a Land Plan as part of the documents submitted during the presentation. This requirement is intended to facilitate verification of the identity and particulars of the land, eliminate any uncertainty regarding the land involved, and ensure that the registration process is conducted in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Members are advised to comply with this new requirement to avoid rejection of their presentations during the registration process.
