Invitation to Join Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) (“LAC KL”) as Volunteer Lawyers for Employment Matters
The Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) (“LAC KL”) invites members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar to serve as volunteer lawyers and assist in employment-related disputes.
The Ministry of Human Resources (“KESUMA“) has recently collaborated with the Bar Council to strengthen access to justice in employment matters. Under this initiative, the Legal Aid Centres have been tasked with providing legal representation to workers with claims before the Labour Court and the Industrial Court. The programme is aimed at ensuring that employees who are unable to afford legal representation are not left without legal assistance.
As a result of this collaboration, LAC KL anticipates an increase in referrals for employment cases. To meet this demand, we are expanding our pool of volunteer lawyers and invite members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar to participate by taking on employment files and assisting those in need on a pro bono basis. Your contribution will directly assist claimants in need and uphold the Bar’s commitment to equal access to justice.
