| The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee Young Lawyers Committee (“KLBC YLC”), in collaboration with the Lincoln’s Inn Alumni Association of Malaysia (“LIAAM”) proudly presents the Kuala Lumpur Bar – Lincoln’s Inn Alumni Association of Malaysia Moot Court Competition 2022 on 12 and 13 November 2022 (“Moot Competition”).
For the last two years, our Moot Competition was organised virtually due to the constraints caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. With restrictions easing up, we are pleased that the Moot Competition will now return to the physical courtrooms. Since its inauguration in September 2019, the Moot Competition is an annual project by the KLBC YLC which is targeted at pursuing excellence in both oral and written advocacy amongst law students as part of their legal education. We take pride in the Moot Competition as it distinguishes itself from other moot competitions by providing law students with the experience of submitting in an actual court setting which is presided over by a panel of judges which generally includes members of the Judiciary and legal practitioners. Participants will also be accorded constructive tips and feedback on how to improve their oral and written advocacy after each of the moot rounds. The Moot Competition is open for participation to all Malaysian law students, in both public and private universities.
