Cessation On Exemption Of Penalty / Fine For Late Transactions In PTGS

Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,

The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee has received a notification dated 5 October 2021 from Pejabat Tanah Dan Galian Negeri Selangor (“PTGS”) regarding the above matter.

As you are aware, PTGS had provided exemption of late penalty / fine for instruments carrying the witnessed date commencing from 1 March 2021 until the end of the Full Movement Control Order.

However, kindly be informed that the PTGS have been fully operational since 1 October 2021. Hence, the exemption of penalty / fine for late transactions will cease on 15 October 2021. All presentation documents that have been paid must be presented to PTGS within 30 days from the date of payment. Please note that no exemptions of penalty / fine will be granted after the aforesaid date.
