Dear Members of the KL Bar and Pupils-In-Chambers,
The Corporate & Conveyancing Practice Committee (“CCPC”) is calling for volunteers to serve on the committee for the term 2021/22.
The CCPC has been established with, inter alia, the following objectives in mind:
- Identify and resolve issues encountered by members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar in the area of corporate and/or conveyancing practices, including dealing with the Land Offices / Registries, Stamp Duty Offices as well as the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM);
- Enhance the relationship and communication amongst all parties and stakeholders involved in the corporate and/or conveyancing practices;
- Develop trainings for members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar to fortify their legal knowledge in the area of corporate and/or conveyancing practices;
- Work hand-in-hand with the Conveyancing Practice Committee and the Corporate and Commercial Law Committee of the Bar Council, the Selangor Bar and other State Bars (as and when necessary) to achieve the above objectives.
