Satgurunathan Nagalingam, LL.B (Hons) Wolverhampton, CLP, P.K., had Triple Distinctions of having delved into three challenging careers, rising from the lowest rung to the height of exceptional experience and expertise in each of them. This included a three-decade career in teaching in public schools, while being a Disciplinary Master, Prefect Master and Senior Assistant Head Master before retiring in 1997. List of schools he had taught in were:
- Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sri Garing, Rawang
- Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Abdul Samad, Petaling Jaya
- Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya
Satgurunathan had also risen from the rank of Constable to Inspector in the Police Volunteer Reserve Force, achieving his title of Pingat Kebaktian (P.K.) having devoted 22 years to master the nitty-gritty secrets of operations in the Signal Branch, General Duty, Training and Traffic.
Satgurunathan had a youthful passion for law that drove him passionately to pursue his legal career. He completed his LL.B and CLP after his retirement age and was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in the year 2000. He set up his own firm at Wisma Kraftangan under the name and style of Satguru & Associates. His specialty was criminal litigation and he handled conveyancing and other technical services as an Associate.
