Invitation to serve the KL Bar

Dear members of the KL Bar and pupils-in-chambers,

The 2012/13 Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (KLBC) assumed office after the Annual General Meeting on 23 February 2012. At the first meeting of the 2012/13 KLBC on 8 March 2012, Ravinder Singh Dhalliwal (Ravin) was appointed as the Honorary Secretary of the KLBC for the term 2012/13. Twelve (12) Sub-committees were set up to facilitate the organisation of the KLBC’s various activities and to cater to the needs of our KL Bar members. The new KLBC also welcomes any suggestions, comments and views on how we can further improve the welfare of our members and pupils

For the Sub-committee Chairs to be able to carry out their respective tasks effectively, we need the assistance of volunteers. We need dedicated and committed members who are prepared to serve in the best interest of our members and pupils.

This is an open invitation to all of you, both members and pupils, to come forward and volunteer your time and to join us in any of the above Sub-committees. If you are keen to serve, please e-mail to as soon as possible and not later than 31.03.2012, your name and place of practice/pupillage and the Sub-committee you are interested in.

With your co-operation and support, we shall move forward in improving our services to members and pupils and towards a better Bar.
